PDM Group has extensive operations across food processing, distribution, pet food manufacture, food waste recycling and renewable energy and bio-fuel production.
The Position
PDM Group has a vacancy for an experienced Quality Manager at the By-Products processing plant at Hartshill near Nuneaton.
The job holder will be responsible for the development and promotion of all aspects of Quality and Quality Management for the plant and for ensuring the HACCP/Quality Systems are correctly implemented, monitored and controlled.
Responsibilities
- Develop Quality and Quality systems for the Hartshill plant and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation relating to product safety and legislation in conjunction with the Group Quality Manager.
- Ensure Internal Audits are carried out to schedule and ensure that any non compliances and customer complaints are correctly investigated and followed up.
- Develop and implement relevant GMP and Hygiene standards.
- Achieve and maintain customer approval and any relevant accreditation standards and highlight the correct training requirements with regard to Quality.
- Ensure Raw Material, Process Control and Finished Product Specifications are up to date in conjunction with the Group Quality Team and analytical and micro summaries are maintained and supplied to relevant personnel.
Skills and Experience Required
A good understanding of factory processes, HACCP, Quality Systems and microbiology are essential to this role. You should be confident and self motivated, with the tenacity and drive to succeed in your role. A structured disciplined approach to your work is required and you need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The person will need to have strong organizational skills, be able to multi-task, work under pressure and possess established IT skills.
